Working together to eliminate sexual violence in Aotearoa
Court Support Services
Navigating the justice system can be an overwhelming and emotional experience — especially for survivors of sexual violence and their whānau. The Louise Nicholas Trust offers a compassionate and informed Court Support Service to help guide and stand alongside you throughout this process.
Our experienced advocates provide practical, emotional, and cultural support to those engaging with the court system, ensuring that survivors are heard, respected, and treated with dignity. We can help explain the court process in plain language, accompany you to hearings, liaise with court staff and support agencies, and ensure your rights and needs are upheld throughout.
We understand that every survivor’s journey is different. Our support is tailored to each person and their whānau, recognising the importance of safety, mana, and connection in the healing process.
Whether you are preparing to give evidence, awaiting trial outcomes, or simply seeking to understand what lies ahead, we are here to stand beside you — not just through the court process, but in the steps that follow.
If you or someone you care about is involved in a sexual violence case and would like guidance or support, please reach out. You don’t have to do this alone.
